I'm a fan of Epson scanners, though we have a Canon at work and it works really well too.

Two words of warning though: If you have a lot of photos, just pay walmart or someplace rated well online to scan them. I've been wanting to scan in about 5 photo albums for years, but the time it actually takes to do that hasn't been available.
Secondly, it's a good idea to cover the scanner with some sort of bag or cover. Somehow, mine got dust on the inside and it shows up on everything I scan in. (It is about 5 years old though, and has been sitting on the bottom shelf of a bookcase...)

<a href="http://www.amazon.com/Epson-B11B193081-Epson-Perfection-V300-Photo-Color-Scanner-Black/dp/B001GBKTGM/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=electronics&qid=1267576423&sr=8-1" rel="nofollow">Epson Perfection V300 Photo Scanner</a>. Epson makes good scanners and printers, and it's cheap too!

There is a scanner that scans all sizes of pictures and is affordable for an average home budget. Do you know of this scanner and where to get one?

Eh, the rules are suggestions IMO. Really, if you like what you're doing, that's all that matters.

Photography confused the hell out of me and just kinda took the fun out of just randomly taking pictures because people would often bother me saying I wasn't following the rules or that I wasn't doing it right. I just took them for fun and because I was bored.

Good post. You consider some important issues here. Yes, bloggers should indicate any updates, corrections or rewrites. Some blogs do just that, particulary the more "professional" variety. Personal bloggs are of a different sort. But more importantly, readers should approach blogs - or anything in print or the wider media - with a critical eye, cross referencing and fact checking.
